Get your favorite skis ready, La Nina is back for a rare 3 in a row! The usually means lots of pow in the rockies, great lakes, and northeast. I know most prefer fat skis 100mm+, but there are plenty of skis that float well that are 85-100mm range and these usually have a tighter turning radius. I will be demoing a shorter pair of 85mm K2s to try and maximize my turns on a typical day, but I still have my standard Black Diamond 95mm Helios for the powder days.
Fall hikers may also need to pack your rain gear until the winter starts (unless your down south where La Nina usually means dryer winter)!
